It's About the PeopleLean Project Consulting’s adaptation of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology for Lean leaders and Lean projects is a way for executive and project teams to incorporate the Respect for People principle more deeply in their work. The workshops are designed to provoke members toward identifying and building behaviors important to a successful Lean transformation.

These unique workshops provide a forum for teams to better understand how they design their work by creating truly integrated work relationships. Benefits include:

  • Incorporating new insights into project teamwork based on understanding and integrating the experiences and knowledge of everyone on the team
  • Helping the team feel more confident in participating and leading a shared approach toward a Lean transformation on their projects and in their companies
  • Development of a program with actions designed to improve team relationships and project learning.

This adaptation of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology is a valuable tool in the Lean transformation of project and enterprise leadership teams. This is a way of building the capacity into a group to respond intentionally and optimally to the unknown, at every moment. It improves the quality and speed of their decision-making, which again leads to faster and better implementation of changes and solutions. It is a process of thinking with your hands that reveals the richness of any system of work. The process helps teams build the collaborative relationships inherent in Lean project delivery.

Successful projects are dependent on hearing and engaging all the voices in the room. People naturally want to contribute, be a part of something bigger and take ownership. Allowing each member to contribute and speak out results in a better project.

The LeanProject workshops are a response to the increasing awareness in the Lean design and construction community of the importance of establishing a strong culture. Workshops have been developed specific to identify a team identity, formulating a project strategy, building trust among team members, encouraging ambition and drive, establishing a learning culture, and game planning team initiatives. Workshop are led by Jason Klous and Tom Richert, both Certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitators.
